Motion/second by CM Ramos/Mitchell to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-72-03 <br />repealing Resolution No. R-05-00 and the Inland Regional Materials Recovery Facility <br />Project and denying the appeal and approving an amendment to approved Conditional <br />Use Permit No. DCV -33-99: File Index No. D-38-00. Unanimous vote. <br />Zoning <br />This was the time and place fixed for a public hearing to consider an Ordinance 0-10-03 <br />of the City of Colton adding Section 18.48.120 to Chapter 18.48 of the Colton Municipal <br />Code to regulate parking of vehicles for sale on property that is not zoned for such use <br />and amending section 10.04.075 of Chapter 10.04 of the Colton Municipal Code relating <br />to Parking vehicles on public or private property without property owner's permission. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication was on file in the City Clerk's Office <br />and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />Community Development Director Zamora presented an overview of the agenda report <br />and presented for approval of staff's recommendation to approve an Ordinance adding <br />section 18.48.120 and amending section 10.04.075 to the Colton Municipal Code. <br />Public comment: <br />The following citizens addressed the Council: <br />Art Thompson, expressed his concerns as he felt this presented problems in the trucking <br />industry. He supported approval of the ordinance and suggested that when citing the <br />drivers, the trucking company should also be cited. <br />Motion/second by CM Zamora/Hernandez to terminate public hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Public comment cont'd: <br />The following citizens addressed the Council: <br />Fred Cordova — commented on the boats and cars that are parked improperly and not <br />cited, he suggested if this Ordinance is passed these too be cited. <br />Motion/second by CM Zamora/Ramos to approve and adopt first reading of Ordinance <br />No. 0-19-03. Unanimous vote. <br />Weed Abatement <br />This was the time and place fixed for a public hearing to consider adopting a report and <br />statement of expenses for the City's Weed Abatement Program and to consider <br />imposing a lien upon the properties for payment thereof. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open" <br />2003 AUG 05 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING - 4 - <br />
