CM Zamora presented a Proclamation to Community Development Director David Zamora in <br />honor of National Community Development Week and the CDBG. <br />➢ Proclamation - Libreria Del Pueblo, Inc. - Day of the Child Celebration <br />CM Hernandez presented a Proclamation in honor of Libreria Del Pueblo, Inc. — Day of the <br />Child Celebration which will be forwarded and displayed at Libreria Del Pueblo, Inc. <br />➢ Proclamation - National Loyalty Day <br />Mayor Bennett presented a Proclamation in honor of National Loyalty Day which will be <br />displayed on the Employee Bulletin Board. <br />➢ Introduction - New Police Officers <br />Acting Police Chief Joseph McCann introduced a new City of Colton Police Officer Roberta <br />Gipson as well as a new promotion Corporal Henry Domingues. <br />➢ Presentation - Cindi Pringle, Executive Director for the Inland California Television <br />Network (ICTN). <br />Item pulled to be returned at a later time; <br />ORDINANCES: <br />First Reading: <br />(1) Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. <br />875, to Reflect Modifications of the Insurance Requirements for Construction Permits to <br />Work Within the Public Right of Way. ORDINANCE NO. 0-03-03. <br />City Manager Daryl Parrish presented a brief synopsis of the Ordinance. <br />Discussion and motion/second by CM Hernandez/Zamora to waive full reading and pass first <br />reading of Ordinance No. 0-03-03. Unanimous vote. <br />(2) Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Section <br />2.18.010 of Municipal Code Permitting Natural Gas Purchases and Sales by the Electric <br />Utility Director, ORDINANCE NO. 0-04-03. <br />City Manger Parrish presented an overview of the Ordinance and requested a monthly report to <br />track the rates of the gas purchases. <br />Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Hernandez to waive full reading and pass first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 0-04-03. Unanimous vote. <br />(3) Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance Authorizing an Amendment <br />to the Contract between the City Council and the Board of Administration of the Public <br />Employees' Retirement System; and Approve and Adopt a Proposed Resolution of <br />Intention to Approve an Amendment to the Contract between the Board of Administration <br />of the Public Employees' Retirement System and the City Council, ORDINANCE NO. 0- <br />05-03 and RESOLUTION NO.
