The City Council finds and declares: <br />1. That a public hearing has been duly and legally held by the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Colton on a Text Amendment to Sections 18.16 <br />and 18.32 of the Colton Municipal Code and Ordinance No. 1602. <br />2. That said Planning Commission has recommended the adoption of <br />the proposed Text Amendment. <br />3. That said Text Amendment and the recommended action appro- <br />priately shown is as follows: <br />(1) Section 18.16.090.E.2.c. Is amended to read: <br />"In every parking area and garage containing ten or more <br />stalls, twenty percent of the stalls may be designed to accomo- <br />date compact cars. For areas containing twenty or more stalls, <br />forty percent of the stalls may be designed to accomodate <br />compact cars. In either case, they shall be clearly marked as <br />compact stalls." <br />(2) Section 18.16.090.E.2.h. Is Amanrlarl +„ H --A. <br />Reference to subsection E.l.e. of Section 18.16.090. is <br />deleted. Reference to subsection 18.16.080.8. of Section <br />18.16.090. is added. <br />(3) Section 18.32.020.F.7. Is amended to read: <br />"7. Notwithstanding any provision hereof giving the <br />Commission the power and authority to hear and determine the <br />foregoing matters, said Commission may, at its discretion, <br />decline to hear or determine the matter and instead may refer it <br />to the City Council. <br />8. Any two (2) members of the City Council may, within <br />seven (7) calendar days after mailing of the notice, appeal such <br />decision. Said notice must be mailed within two calendar days <br />after such determination by the Planning Commission to the <br />members of the City Council. (Such appeal shall be in writing <br />and shall be delivered to the office of the director). <br />
