Each person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violation of any provisions of this ordinance or said Codes is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm or corporation and shall be punishable therefor, as provided by this ordinance. SECTION 7. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance of said Code is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said Ordinance or Code.. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Colton hereby declare that they would have passed said Ordinance and Code, and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more other sections, subsections, clauses or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 8. Ordinance No. 1577 is hereby repealed. SECTION 9. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its approval as required by law. SECTION 10. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Colton Courier, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Colton.
