ORDINANCE NO. 0-18-89 <br />AN URGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING URGENCY <br />INTERIM ORDINANCE NO. 0-14-89 OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON PLACING TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS <br />ON DEVELOPMENT APPROVALS AND THE ISSUANCE <br />OF BUILDING PERMITS WITHIN THE R-1/PC <br />ZONE (RESIDENTIAL ONE -FAMILY WITH PLANNED <br />COMMUNITY OVERLAY) OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is in the process of <br />developing certain revisions to its zoning which would have <br />the effect of increasing the minimum lot size of residential <br />lots within certain areas of the City presently within an <br />R -1/P -C (Residential One -Family With Planned Community <br />Overlay) zone; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Planning Department plans to <br />formally present a detailed proposed recommendation for <br />those areas in the very near future and has developed <br />preliminary rezoning proposals toward that end that will <br />require minimum lot sizes of 7200 square feet in such zones; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, residential development continues to be <br />proposed in those areas currently zoned Residential <br />One -Family With Planned Community Overlay that, if approved, <br />might make the development of larger residential lot sizes <br />impossible or excessively burdensome for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, residential development approved within <br />those areas currently zoned Residential One -Family With <br />Planned Community Overlay prior to review of the rezoning <br />
