23.031A Hazardous Trees. <br />The Board of Supervisors finds that within the San Bernardino National <br />Forest a unique problem arises from several factors, including storms and <br />various forms of precipitation, causing live trees to become unstable and <br />hazardous to lives and property. Within the boundaries of the San <br />Bernardino National Forest, the provisions of this chapter shall apply to any <br />live tree which constitutes a fire, health, or safety hazard or which may <br />endanger or injure neighboring property, or the health, safety, or well-being <br />of persons or property: and it shall be the duty of every owner, occupant, <br />and person in control of any land or interest therein within such area of the <br />County to abate therefrom and from all sidewalks, parkways, and from the <br />untraveled portions of any public highway or public road easements adjacent <br />to such land any such hazardous tree. <br />23.032 Enforcement. <br />For the purpose of enforcing this chapter, the County Fire Warden may <br />designate any person as his deputy in the performance of the duties enjoined <br />upon him by this chapter, and, in addition, each of the following officers <br />within the County of San Bernardino is hereby designated to perform the <br />same duties within the territory of the political subdivision which he serves <br />(and whenever the term "County Fire Warden" is used hereinafter, the <br />following officers are included in the meaning of such word, except that the <br />County Fire Warden himself shall coordinate all such officers in the <br />performance of these duties): <br />(a) Chiefs or Chief Engineers of all Fire Protection Districts within the <br />County, and their deputies: <br />(b) The County Agricultural Commissioner: <br />(c) Other officers hereafter designated by the Board of Supervisors or <br />the County Fire Warden. <br />
