1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />91 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />Act, the Authority proposes to also enter into certain agreements <br />attached to the Composite Development Agreement, pursuant to which <br />the Authority would acquire an ownership interest as tenant in <br />common in the Mead -Phoenix Project and Mead-Adelanto Project, and <br />capital improvements thereto that may be constructed from time to <br />time, and interests in certain other properties and rights relating <br />thereto; and <br />WHEREAS, this Governing Body finds and determines that it is <br />in the best interests of the customers of the electric system of <br />the City for the City to contract with the authority for <br />transmission service of the Mead -Phoenix Project pursuant to a <br />Mead -Phoenix Project Transmission Service Contract (Members) in <br />substantially the form submitted to this Governing Body; and <br />WHEREAS, this Governing Body finds and determines that it is <br />in the best interests of the customers of the electric_ system of <br />the City for the City to contract with the Authority for <br />transmission service of the Mead-Adelanto Project pursuant to a <br />Mead-Adelanto Project Transmission Service Contract (members) in <br />substantially the form submitted to this Governing Body; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Agreement and the Joint Powers <br />Act, the Authority has the power to enter into the Mead -Phoenix <br />Project Transmission Service Contract (Members) and the Mead- <br />Adelanto Project Transmission Service Contract (Members) to sell <br />service of the Mead -Phoenix Project and the Mead-Adelanto Project <br />to the City; and <br />6 <br />
