18.04.416 State <br />"State" means the State of California. <br />18.04.418 Stor <br />"Story" means a space in a buildinq between the suriace of any <br />floor and the surface of the floor next above, or ii there is no <br />floor above, then the space between such floor and the ceilinq or <br />roof above. <br />18.04.420 Street <br />"Street" means a public thorouqhfare or riqht-of-way dedicated, <br />deeded, or condemned for use as such, other than an alley, which <br />affords the principal means of access to abuttinq property, <br />includinq avenue, `place, way, drive, lane, boulevard, hiqhway, <br />road and any other thorouqhfare. <br />18.04.422 Street Centerline <br />"Street centerline" means the_centerline oi a street or riqht-of- <br />way as established in official surveys. <br />18.04.424 Street Line <br />"Street line" means the boundary line between street and abuttinq <br />property. <br />18.04.426 3treet, Local <br />"Local street" means any street servinq as the principal means of <br />access to property, other than a major or secondary hiqhway or <br />major traffic street. <br />18.04.428 3treet, Side <br />"Side street" means that street boundinq a corner lot and which <br />extends in the same qeneral direction as the line determininq the <br />depth ot the lot. <br />18.04.430 3tructural Alterations <br />"Structural alterations" means any chanqe in the supportinq <br />members of a buildinq, such as a bearinq wall, column, beam or <br />qirder, floor or ceilinq joists, roof rafters, rooi diapbraqms, <br />foundations, piles, or retaininq walls or similar componeats. <br />18.04.432 Structure <br />"Structure" means anythinq constructed or built, an edifice or <br />buildinq of any kind, or any piece of work artificially built up <br />or composed of parts joint toqether in some__deiinite,manner, <br />which requires location on the qround or is attached to somethinq <br />havinq a location on the ground. <br />33 <br />
