The total square footage of all temporary promotional <br />signs posted in a single private property located in a <br />residentially zoned area of the City relating to the same <br />date -specific event shall not exceed 96 square feet. <br />18.50.131 Enforcement of Temporary Promotional Sign Regulations <br />Enforcement of the provisions of section 18.50.130 shall be <br />effected as provided in this section as follows: <br />1. The Community Development Director or his designee may <br />summarily and without prior notice remove any temporary <br />promotional sign which constitutes an immediate peril to <br />persons or property. <br />2. If the Community Development Director finds that any <br />temporary promotional sign has been posted or is being <br />maintained in violation of the provisions of this <br />section, the Community Development Director shall issue <br />to the sign owner or the owner's authorized agent an oral <br />or written demand for the removal or of such sign or for <br />correction of the violation within five days. <br />3. Such notice shall include a brief statement of the <br />reasons for requiring removal. <br />4. The Community Development Director or his designee shall <br />use due diligence to provide such notice by telephone or <br />in person, and in addition, may provide such notice in <br />writing by hand delivery or by placing such notice in the <br />United States Mail addressed to the last known address of <br />the owner of any sign posted in violation of this <br />section. <br />5. Upon the failure of any owner of any temporary <br />promotional sign posted in violation of this section to <br />correct the violation or to remove such temporary <br />promotional sign after notice by the Community <br />Development Director or his designee the Community <br />Development Director or his designee shall have the <br />authority to remove all such illegally posted temporary <br />promotional signs, and to dispose of such temporary <br />promotional signs if they are not claimed by the owner <br />within 10 working days. <br />6. The Community Development Director or his designee may <br />remove any abandoned temporary promotional sign summarily <br />and without prior notice. A temporary promotional sign <br />shall be deemed abandoned under either of the following <br />circumstances: <br />a. The owner of a temporary promotional sign posted in <br />violation of this section or the owner's authorized <br />agent cannot in good faith be located by the <br />Community Development Director within five working <br />days; or <br />
