1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />61 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-25-93 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE 0-11-92 AND AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 3.28 OF TITLE 3 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO GRANT CREDITS AGAINST <br />SALES AND USE TAXES OWED TO THE CITY OF <br />COLTON IN THE AMOUNT OF SALES AND USE TAXES <br />PAID, IF ANY, TO THE COLTON REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY. <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 0-11-92 which was adopted by the City Council on May <br />, 1992 is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br />SECTION 2: Chapter 3.28 of Title 3 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby <br />by adding a new Section 3.28.139 to read as follows: <br />"3.28.139 - Credit Against Payment of Taxes. Any retailer or <br />consumer subject to a sales or use tax under this chapter shall be <br />granted a credit against the payment of tax owed under this chapter in <br />the amount of sales or use tax paid, if any, to the redevelopment <br />agency for the city pursuant to the "Redevelopment Agency for the City <br />of Colton Sales and Use Tax Ordinance for the Plaza Las Glorias <br />Shopping Center within the Mt. Vernon Corridor Redevelopment <br />Project Area," as enacted by Redevelopment Agency for the City of <br />Colton Ordinance No. 2-93." <br />SECTION 3. This ordinance is a revenue measure which shall take effect <br />following its second reading in accord with the provisions of Government Code <br />36937. <br />
