Adoption of the Uniform Fire Code and the California <br />Fire Code. <br />A. There is hereby adopted by the City of Colton for the purpose of <br />prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life, <br />environment and property from fire or explosion, that certain model <br />code known as the Uniform Fire Code including Appendix Chapters <br />lA, 1B, 1C, II A, II D, II F, II H, II I, III A, III C, III D, IV A, IV <br />B, V A, VI-A, VI-B, VI-C, VI-D and the Uniform Fire Code Standards <br />as compiled and adopted by the International Fire Code Institute being <br />particularly the 1994 Edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and <br />except such portions as are hereafter deleted, modified or amended by <br />this Ordinance of which not less than three (3) copies have been and are <br />now iiled in he office of the Clerk of the City of Colton and the same <br />are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length <br />herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect, the <br />provision thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the City of <br />Colton. <br />B. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts and amends <br />the 1995 Edition of the California Fire Code, as compiled and adopted <br />by the California Building Standards Commission. <br />15.16.020 Definitions <br />A. Whenever the word "jurisdiction" is used in the Uniform Fire <br />Code, it shall be held to mean the City of Colton. <br />B. Wherever the term "Corporation Council" is used in the Uniform <br />Fire Code, it shall be held to mean the attorney for the City of Colton. <br />
