1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />city, Department of Motor Vehicle licensed horseless carriages, and historical vehicles <br />are exempt from the provisions of this chapter. <br />10.10.040 Enforcement. <br />The provisions of this chapter shall be administered and enforced by the police <br />chief. <br />10.10.050 Violation - Penalties. <br />Any person, firm or corporation, whether as principal, agent, employee or <br />otherwise, violating or causing the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine of not more than one <br />thousand dollars or by imprisonment in the city jail or county jail for a term not to exceed six <br />months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Such persons, firm or corporation shall be <br />deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion which any <br />violation of this title is committed or continued by such person, firm or corporation and shall <br />be punishable as herein provided. <br />SECTION 2: If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof to any person <br />or circumstances is held invalid, this invalidity shall not affect other applications of this <br />Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or applications, and to this <br />end, the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. This Ordinance shall be <br />liberally construed to achieve the purposes of this Ordinance and to preserve its validity. <br />3 <br />
