1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />9:: <br />INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 0-17-97 <br />AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />EXTENDING THE MORATORIUM ON PROCESSING OF <br />APPLICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />MONOPOLES NOT ALREADY WITHIN THE CITY <br />(Government Code Section 65858) <br />WHEREAS, on October 7, 1997 the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 0-15-97 <br />entitled "An Urgency Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Colton, Imposing A <br />Moratorium On Processing of Applications for the Construction of Monopoles Not Already <br />Within the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, by force of law and its own terms, Ordinance No. 0-15-97 expires and is <br />of no further force and effect after forty-five (45) days from its effective date, unless further <br />extended by action of the City Council, which expiration date is November 21, 1997; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received a staff report dated November 12 , 1997, <br />incorporated by this reference, which states that since the adoption of Ordinance No. 0-15-97, <br />the City has taken steps to study the contemplated revisions to the City's Municipal Code <br />relating to its regulation of monopoles; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 18, 1997, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing <br />to consider extending Ordinance No. 0-15-97 for an additional ten months and fifteen (15) days <br />from and after November 21, 1997 which is the expiration date established by Ordinance 0-15- <br />97; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered all of the written and oral testimony offered <br />concerning whether to extend the moratorium for an additional period of time as noted in sub - <br />
