6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />section (D) above; and <br />WHEREAS, without the imposition of interim development controls and the exception <br />process, properties in the City could quickly receive entitlements to construct monopoles despite <br />the fact that the City Council has determined that the City's Zoning Code is in need of updating <br />and has directed that a study be done to recommend new standards and revised Zoning Code <br />sections to address monopoles; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that all studies be pursued as expeditiously as <br />is practicable, and is examining the possibility of retaining professional consultants to assist in <br />the study of revisions to the City's Zoning Code. <br />FOLLOWS: <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS <br />SECTION 1.: Extension. <br />The City Council finds and determines that Ordinance No. 0-15-97 is hereby <br />extended for ten months and fifteen (15) days. Ordinance No. 0-15-97 was adopted on October <br />7, 1997 and is set to expire on November 21, 1997 and accordingly, by this extension that <br />period of time is extended for an additional ten months and fifteen (15) days until October 6, <br />1998 unless sooner terminated or further extended by the City Council of the City of Colton. <br />SECTION 2: Report Issuance. <br />The City Council has on this date previously adopted as its own and issued the <br />report dated NovembeA 12 , 1997 and finds that the report does adequately describe <br />the measures taken to alleviate the condition which led to the adoption of Ordinance No. 0-15- <br />97 pursuant to the requirements of Government Code § 65858(d). <br />
