Residential or group care facilities --Six or fewer residents -- <br />Regulations. <br />(1) Licensed. Residential or group care facilities consisting of six or <br />fewer residents, not including any provider or provider's family or staff, shall be exempt from <br />the provisions of this chapter provided the facility is licensed by the appropriate state or county <br />agency or department. <br />(2) Unlicensed. Residential or group care facilities for six or fewer <br />residents which are not required to be licensed by a state or county agency or department shall be <br />allowed in all residential districts, subject to the approval of a conditional use permit issued in <br />accordance with the provisions of Section 18.58.060, and in accordance with the findings <br />specified in Section 18.48.1001. <br />D. Residential or group care facilities—Licensed and Unlicensed— <br />Regulations. Licensed residential or group care facilities for seven or more residents and <br />.-esidential or group care facilities which are not required to be licensed by a state or county <br />rgency or department shall be allowed in all residential zones of the City, subject to the approval <br />:)f a conditional use permit issued pursuant to Section 18.58.060, and in accordance with the <br />Findings specified in Section 18.48.100.F. All such facilities must comply with the following <br />requirements: <br />(1) Applicable requirements of the Uniform Building, Housing and <br />Fire Codes; <br />(2) Parking spaces must be maintained in accordance with the <br />requirements of Chapter 18.36; and <br />(3) No sign which calls attention to the fact that the property is a <br />or group care facility may be posted. <br />E. Congregate residences --Regulations. <br />(1) Congregate residences with ten or fewer occupants shall be <br />in all residential zoning districts, provided that: <br />(a) Applicable requirements of the Uniform Building, Housing <br />Fire Codes are met; <br />(b) Parking spaces must be maintained in accordance with <br />of Chapter 18.36; <br />(c) No sign which calls attention to the fact that the property is <br />congregate residence may be posted. <br />5 <br />
