"Commercial purpose," as that phrase is used in this chapter, <br />means and includes, but is not limited to, the promotion, support or endorsement of any group, <br />entity, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, firm or association which is for profit <br />and/or connected in any way with trade, commerce, or business. <br />1.20.050 Penalty for violation. Any person, firm or corporation <br />violating any of the provisions of this chapter (as determined by the city council), shall be <br />deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon a conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of <br />not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment for a period of not more than six <br />months or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br />1.20.060 Penalty supplemental to other penalties and remedies. The <br />penalties imposed by the provisions of this chapter shall be supplemental and in addition to any <br />other penalties or remedies which may be imposed or provided by other laws or ordinances, such <br />as disciplinary action, removal from public office, judicial order or judgment, or other matter." <br />SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the <br />same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a newspaper <br />of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, and the Ordinance shall take <br />effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the provisions of California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this 7th day of &=,,,t , 2001. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
