Eli ibili . Residence in the City of Colton at the time of <br />appointment of the Finance Director shall not be required as a condition of <br />appointment. <br />The Finance Director must be a citizen of the United States, not less than <br />twenty-five years of age and have a combination of professional experience and <br />training in municipal finance and accounting. <br />2.17.040. Transfer of duties. In accordance with Section 40805.5 of the <br />Government Code, the finance and accounting duties imposed upon the City Clerk by <br />Sections 40802 through 40805 of the Government Code of the State of California are <br />hereby transferred to the Finance Director. In accordance with Section 37209 of the <br />Government Code, the finance and accounting duties imposed upon the City Clerk by <br />Article 1, Chapter 4 of Part 2 of Division 3 of the Government Code are hereby <br />transferred to the Finance Director. <br />2.17.050. Department created. A Finance Department is hereby created <br />which shall be under the direction and control of the Finance Director, subject to the <br />general administrative direction of the City Manager. The Finance Director, subject <br />to the approval of the City Manager, shall organize and maintain such divisions in <br />said department as, in his judgment, the operation may require, and shall be <br />responsible for the general supervision and control of all divisions of said <br />department." <br />SECTION II: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and <br />cause the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after <br />adoption in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, <br />California, and the Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in <br />accordance with the provisions of California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, this 18th day of March, 2003. <br />r; TWO11 !� Lei\ <br />ffiRDRE <br />ATTEST: <br />RVPUB\NGS\648069 <br />2 <br />
