Interior signs within a structure not visible from outside of the structure, except temporary <br />window signs. <br />J. Signs and advertising for the California State Lottery as authorized by California Government <br />Code, Section 8800 et seq. <br />K. Kiosk signs and other similar identification signs placed on City property and approved by <br />the planning commission and/or city council that are used to identify and promote economic <br />development efforts or significant commercial enterprises in the City of Colton. For <br />purposes of this subsection the term "significant commercial enterprises" shall be defined as <br />a grouping of similarly situated commercial land uses with an integrated commercial or <br />economic development theme. <br />L. Signs carried by individuals while standing, sitting or traveling along any public sidewalk or <br />other public property not to exceed two (2) square feet. <br />M. Signs placed within community sports facilities as defined in Section 12.24.141." <br />SECTION 3: Section 18.50.090(b) of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"B. Wall Sign. One wall sign shall be allowed per business tenant. Where a tenant has building <br />frontage on more than one (1) street, that tenant shall be permitted one (1) additional wall <br />sign on the frontage facing the street. In no event shall a sign placed on a wall comprise <br />more than thirty percent (30%) of the area of the wall upon which the sign is located, or <br />comprise more than seventy percent (70%) of the total width of the building frontage upon <br />which the sign is located, or exceed a height of twenty-four (24) inches." <br />RVPUB\Nr\654518 -4- <br />
