1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, this City Council has read, reviewed and approved the Engineer of Work Report as filed; and WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require the maintenance servicing and operation of landscaping and appurtenant facilities within that area designated Annexation No. 2 and 3 to the City of Colton Land- scaping and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Colton as follows: Section 1. That this City Council hereby declares its intention to levy and collect special assessments within the boundaries of Annexation No. 2 and 3 to the City of Colton Landscaping and Lighting District No. 1 for Fiscal Year 1986-87 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 to pay the costs of ordinary and usual maintenance, operating and servicing certain public lighting and landscaping within roadway right- of-way and public utility easements within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Colton as they existed on May 1, 1986 more particularly described on a map which is on file in the City Clerk's office. Section 2. That the existing improvements consist generally of public lighting facilities and unimproved parkways and medians and this City Council does contemplate proposed new public landscaping and lighting improvements to be installed by the petitioning landowner at its sole cost and expense. Section 3. That the maintenance proposed to be performed consist of the ordinary and usual maintenance, operation, and servicing of certain public parkways and median landscaping facilities, including; (a) Repair, removal or replacement of all or any part of the improvements thereon;
