1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, this City Council has read, reviewed and approved the <br />Engineer of Work Report as filed; and <br />WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require the maintenance <br />servicing and operation of landscaping and appurtenant facilities within <br />that area designated Annexation No. 2 and 3 to the City of Colton Land- <br />scaping and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Colton as follows: <br />Section 1. That this City Council hereby declares its intention to <br />levy and collect special assessments within the boundaries of Annexation <br />No. 2 and 3 to the City of Colton Landscaping and Lighting District No. 1 <br />for Fiscal Year 1986-87 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of <br />1972 to pay the costs of ordinary and usual maintenance, operating and <br />servicing certain public lighting and landscaping within roadway right- <br />of-way and public utility easements within the incorporated boundaries <br />of the City of Colton as they existed on May 1, 1986 more particularly <br />described on a map which is on file in the City Clerk's office. <br />Section 2. That the existing improvements consist generally of <br />public lighting facilities and unimproved parkways and medians and this <br />City Council does contemplate proposed new public landscaping and lighting <br />improvements to be installed by the petitioning landowner at its sole <br />cost and expense. <br />Section 3. That the maintenance proposed to be performed consist of <br />the ordinary and usual maintenance, operation, and servicing of certain <br />public parkways and median landscaping facilities, including; <br />(a) Repair, removal or replacement of all or any part of the <br />improvements thereon; <br />
