R-117-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE <br />OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE CON- <br />SOLIDATED WITH THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1986, HERETOFORE <br />CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. R-108-86, AND ORDERING <br />THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF <br />SAID CITY OF A CERTAIN MEASURE RELATING TO <br />STABILIZATION OF RENTS. <br />WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election on November 4, 1986, <br />for the election of a Mayor and 2 Members of the City Council of the <br />City of Colton has been heretofore called by Resolution No. R-108- <br />86, adopted on July 1, 1986; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to authority provided by statute a peti- <br />tion has been filed with the legislative body of the City of Colton, <br />California, signed by more than 13 percent of the number of regis- <br />tered voters of the City to submit a proposed ordinance relating to <br />Rent Stabilization; and <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that a Special Municipal Election <br />be consolidated with the General Municipal Flection to be held on <br />the same date and that within the City the precincts, polling place: <br />and election officers of the two elections be the same, and that thi <br />County election department of the County of San Bernardino canvass <br />the returns of the Special Municipal Election and that the election <br />be held in all respects as if there were only one election; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed by <br />lstatute to submit the proposed ordinance to the voters; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />IICALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />
