CITY OF COLTON <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />1987 - 1989 <br />BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE COLTON POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br />AND <br />THE CITY OF COLTON <br />This Memorandum of Understanding has been prepared pursuant to <br />Government Code Sections 3500 through 3510 as amended, which is <br />generally referred to as the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is subject to the approval of the <br />City Council of the City of Colton and will be placed into effect <br />upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances and resolutions by <br />the City Council, if acceptable to them, in accordance with the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. <br />The parties agree that the provisions contained herein shall be <br />subject to all acceptable law and covers the period of December 27, <br />1986, through December 31, 1989. <br />RECOGNITION <br />The City hereby recognizes the Colton Police Management Association <br />as the representative of employees in the classification of Police <br />Captain and Lieutenant. <br />OKlR;l;� <br />Effective December 27, 1986, all employees in the above represented <br />classifications shall receive a base salary increase of four percent <br />(4%). <br />Effective December 26, 1987, all employees in the above represented <br />classifications shall receive a base salary increase of five percent <br />(5%). <br />Effective December 24, 1988, all employees in the above -represented <br />classifications shall receive a base salary increase of five per- <br />cent (5%). <br />In the event <br />Wage Earners <br />Metropolitan <br />month period <br />for December <br />CPI.
