hired prior to January 1, 1987, who thereafter are promoted into <br />the Police Management Association. <br />SICK LEAVE BUY BACK <br />Each represented employee shall be allowed to buy back up to 96 hours <br />of sick leave per year. The requirements for the buy back are as <br />follows: <br />A. Employee must have a minimum of 1000 hours to participate in the <br />program; and <br />B. <br />A minimum of 15 years <br />service; and <br />C. <br />Employee can only <br />buy <br />back the amount of unused hours of which he <br />accumulated in any <br />one <br />calendar year; and <br />D. <br />The employee shall <br />be <br />compensated at their current salary at the <br />time of request; and <br />E. <br />This item shall be <br />considered <br />on a calendar year basis. <br />RETIREMENT <br />The City will pay the employees contribution of 9% to the P.E.R.S. <br />Retirement Program and provide retirement benefits as currently spec- <br />ified under the City's contract with the Public Employees Retirement. <br />One-half of all such contributions shall be deposited in the member's <br />retirement account. <br />SOCIAL SECURITY <br />In the event the City and its employees are required to participate <br />in the Federal Social Security Program, the contribution designated <br />by law to be the responsibility of the employee shall be paid in <br />full by the employee and the City shall not be obligated to pay or <br />"pick up" any portion thereof. <br />MEDICARE <br />Employees hired by the City on or after April 1, 1986, shall be re- <br />quired to pay the designated employee contribution to participate in <br />the MediCare Program and the City shall be under no obligation to pay <br />or "pick up" any such contributions. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE <br />Each affected employee shall receive ten (10) days annual adminis- <br />trative leave per calendar year. An employee may not carry over <br />unused leave from year to year. <br />on <br />
