R- 90 -87 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON FORMING IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT "A" <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton (herein- <br />after "this Council") on May 19, 1987, adopted Resolution No. R-52 <br />declaring its intention to form Improvement District "A"; and <br />WHEREAS, a hearing on such formation was conducted by <br />this City Council on July 7, 1987, to determine whether said <br />Improvement District should be formed, and notice of this hearing <br />was duly published and posted as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, no opposition was presented to the formation <br />of proposed Improvement District "A" at the public hearing held <br />by this City Council on July 7, 1987; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Bernardino, California has, by resolution, consented to the <br />formation of Improvement District "A" of the City of Colton on <br />July 6, 1987. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of <br />the City of Colton as follows: <br />Section 1. It is necessary to form an improvement <br />district of a portion of the City in connection with the City's <br />proposed acquisition of the James Sullivan Mutual Water Company. <br />Section 2. The purpose for which the improvement <br />district is formed is to establish a fiscal structure to repay <br />funding over an extended period of time by way of the imposition <br />of a special tax to be imposed on all real property within the <br />service area of the James Sullivan Mutual Water Company. <br />18.7 <br />
