R-7-88 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AUTHORIZING COMMENCEMENT OF ACTION TO <br />DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF THE BONDS OF COM- <br />MUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 87-1 AND OF <br />THE SPECIAL TAXES TO BE LEVIED TO PAY THE <br />PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SUCH BONDS AND <br />TO FINANCE POLICE PROTECTION AND FIRE PRO- <br />TECTION AND SUPPRESSION SERVICES THEREIN <br />WHEREAS, December 1, 1987 the City Council (the <br />"City Council") of the City of Colton (the "City") adopted <br />Resolution No. R-154-87 establishing Community Facilities <br />District No. 87-1 of the City of Colton, County of San <br />Bernardino, State of California, (the "Community Facilities <br />District"), and the boundaries thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, on said date the City Council also adopted <br />Resolution No. R-155-87 determining the necessity for the <br />Community Facilities District to incur a bonded indebtedness <br />in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000 for the purpose of <br />providing for public facilities including storm drainage <br />facilities; a fire station, including equipment and fur- <br />nishings therefor, and a 1,500 gallon per minute pumper <br />truck; a multipurpose community building, including equip- <br />ment and furnishings therefor; and expansion and rehabili- <br />tation of streets; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 5, 1987 pursuant to Resolution <br />No. R-156-87, adopted by the the City Council on December 1, <br />1987, consolidated special elections were held for the <br />Community Facilities District on the propositions of the <br />Community Facilities District incurring a bonded indebt- <br />edness in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000, the levy of <br />
