W. <br />Singletary submitted two petitions of protests, one of registered <br />voters and one of land owners; and <br />WHEREAS, the protests received were considered and examined as <br />required by law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton does hereby determine, resolve, order, and find as follows: <br />FINDINGS: <br />1. That the protests submitted by land owners do not constitute <br />twenty—five percent (25%) of the property owners. <br />2. That the registered voters protest petition is deemed sufficent, <br />containing more than fifty percent (50%) signatures of the <br />registered voters. <br />3. The City Council of the City of Colton does hereby order the <br />the termination of proceedings in the matter of City of Colton <br />Annexation South 44, LAFCO No. 2486, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox <br />Local Government Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 56000 <br />et seq.). <br />3.
