R-159-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT <br />A COPY OF CITY MEASURES TO THE <br />SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR THE CITY OF <br />COLTON FOR PREPARATION OF AN IMPARTIAL <br />ANALYSIS OF SAID CITY MEASURES. <br />WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in <br />the City of Colton, California, on June 5, 1990, at which there <br />will be submitted to the voters the following measures: <br />1. Shall the Ordinance establishing a Rent Control YES <br />Exemption for Mobile Home Parks having not less <br />than Sixty Percent Long Term Tenant Leases be <br />adopted? NO <br />2. Shall the Ordinance creating a Mobile Home Tenant YES <br />Relief Program be adopted? NO <br />WHEREAS, Election Code Section 5011 provides that when- <br />ever any City measure qualifies for a place on the ballot, the <br />Governing Body may direct the City Clerk to transmit a copy of <br />the measure to the City Attorney, unless the organization or <br />salaries of the office of the City Attorney are affected; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney shall then prepare an Im- <br />partial Analysis of the measure not exceeding 500 words in <br />length showing the effect of the measure on the existing law and <br />the operation of the measure and intended to be printed preced- <br />ing the arguments for and against the measure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on September 19, 1989, adopted <br />Ordinance No. 0-19A-89, providing for Stabilization of Rents for <br />bile Home Park Spaces as it relates to the above measures; and <br />WHEREAS, preparation of an Impartial Analysis will great- <br />ly assist the voters in their discernment; and <br />
