1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are: the annexation of <br />the hereinbefore described territory will contribute to the <br />orderly growth of the City of Colton, provide the proper control <br />of infrastructure improvements, and insure the proper use of land <br />in conformity with the overall plan of the City of Colton. <br />WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by the <br />Citv of Colton. <br />WHEREAS, the affected territory will not be taxed for general <br />bonded indebtedness of the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized the <br />Citv Council of the City of Colton to approve this annexation <br />without notice and hearing and without election. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Colton hereby orders the territory described in the attached <br />Exhibit "A", annexed, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local <br />Government Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 560001, and <br />directs the City Clerk of the City of Colton to transmit three (3) <br />certified copies of this Resolution with applicable fees required <br />by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer <br />of the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino County. <br />ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED <br />this 6th day of June, 1989 <br />ATTEST: /J <br />HELEN A.
