RESOLUTION NO. R-128-90 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING AND ADOPTING LOCAL <br />GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE CALIFORNIA <br />ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-139-89 <br />WHEREAS, the California Legislature has amended the <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 21082 of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act ("CEQA") requires all public agencies to dopt <br />objectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of public <br />and private projects undertaken or approved by such public <br />agencies, and the preparation, if required, of environmental <br />impact reports in connection therewith; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton must <br />revise its local guidelines for implementing CEQA to make them <br />consistent with the current provisions of CF.QA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council. of <br />the City of Colton as follows; <br />SECTION ONE: Adoption of Local CEQA Guidelines. The <br />City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts "Local <br />Guidelines for Tmplementing the California Environmental Quality <br />Act 11990 Revistonl," a copy of which is on file at the City <br />Council offices and is available for inspection by the public. <br />SECTION TWO: Prior Actions Repealed. All prior <br />actions of the City Council enacting earlier guidelines are <br />hereby repealed including, but not limited to, Resolution No. <br />8-1.:19-89. <br />
