CITY OF COLTON <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />1989 - 1991 <br />BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE COLTON POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br />AND <br />THE CITY OF COLTON <br />This Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") has been prepared <br />pursuant to Government Code Sections 3500 through 3510 as <br />amended, which is generally referred to as the Meyers- <br />Milias-Brown Act. <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is subject to the approval <br />of the City Council of the City of Colton and will be placed <br />into effect upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances <br />and resolutions by the City Council, if acceptable to them, <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set <br />forth. <br />The parties agree that the provisions contained herein shall <br />be subject to all acceptable law and covers the period of <br />December 24, 1989, through December 20, 1991. <br />I. RECOGNITION <br />The City hereby recognizes the Colton Police Management <br />Association as the representative of employees in the <br />classification of Police Captain and Lieutenant. <br />II. SALARY <br />Effective December 24, 1989, all employees in the above - <br />represented classifications shall receive a base salary as <br />set forth in Exhibit A. <br />III. FLSA EXEMPT EMPLOYEES <br />All classifications represented by the Association are <br />exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. <br />IV. HEALTH INSURANCE <br />The City shall contribute a sum not to exceed $311.76 per <br />month per employee for City provided health insurance <br />coverage. This amount shall be increased on November 1, <br />1990 and November 1, 1991, to a flat dollar amount <br />
