Page No. 63 <br />POLICY NO. 25 <br />COMMERCIAL REBATE PROGRAMS <br />I. <br />A. Commercial Customer: A commercial customer is defined as any customer of <br />the City of Colton Electric Utility on General Service Rate Schedule G-1 <br />or Large General Service Rate Schedule G-2 as defined in the Customer <br />Service Policy of the City of Colton Electric Utility. <br />B. Lighting Measures: Lighting measures are defined as follows: <br />1. Efficient fluorescent: Conversion of standard 40 watt fluorescent <br />lamps to fluorescent lamps of 34 watts or less; or conversion of <br />standard 75 watt fluorescent lamps to fluorescent lamps of 60 watts <br />or less. Other conversions eligible under "Other Lighting Measures". <br />2. Optical reflector: Installation of non -energy using lamps, fixtures <br />or reflectors commonly known as "optical reflectors" which result <br />in the permanent delamping of existing fluorescent lamps. <br />3. Electronic ballast: Conversion of magnetic fluorescent ballasts to <br />high efficiency electronic ballasts. Electronic ballasts must be <br />UL listed. <br />4. Compact fluorescent: Conversion of incandescent lamps to circular <br />or compact fluorescent lamps. <br />5. Other permanent lighting modifications where the customer is required <br />to make a financial investment and which result in a permanent <br />reduction in kilowatt demand of existing lighting. This does not <br />include delamping where no purchase of energy saving material or <br />equipment occurs. <br />6. For the purpose of this Policy all lighting measures are defined as <br />lighting measures which occur inside an existing building. <br />C. Central Electric Air Conditioner: One or more factory made assemblies <br />which includes a cooling coil and an electrically driven compressor and <br />combination coil. Room air -conditioners and evaporative coolers are not <br />covered in this definition. <br />D. Central Electric Heat Pump: Same as a central electric air -conditioner <br />except that the system also has the capability of electric heating. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Gale A.
