Page No. 69 <br />II. POLICY <br />A. Commercial customers of the City of Colton Electric Utility may receive <br />a rebate from the City of Colton for eligible lighting measures as defined <br />above which were installed after the effective date of this Policy or for <br />new central electric air conditioners or new central electric heat pumps <br />which were installed after the effective date of this Policy. <br />B. The City of Colton solely retains the right to determine customer and <br />project eligibility. <br />C. The City of Colton reserves the right to request specific manufacturer <br />specifications and data. <br />D. The City of Colton reserves the right to periodically review and modify <br />this Policy. <br />E. Rebates will not be allowed for lighting modifications which increase <br />existing lighting load or for new central electric air conditioners or heat <br />pumps which increase the existing conditioned square footage of a building. <br />F. Rebates are available on a first come, first served basis until available <br />funds for the program are exhausted. "First come" is defined as the date <br />of receipt of the rebate application by the City of Colton Electric <br />Department. <br />G. To qualify for a rebate, all purchased equipment and/or materials for which <br />a rebate is requested must meet all applicable California Energy Commission <br />requirements. Lighting materials or equipment covered by the California <br />Energy Commission (CEC) must be listed in the applicable CEC Directory. <br />The commercial customer, not the City of Colton Electric Utility, is <br />responsible for assuring that the installation of materials or equipment <br />meet Federal or State requirements. <br />H. The City of Colton Electric Utility reserves the right to approve the KK <br />reduction of lighting submitted by a commercial customer applicant. <br />Further, the City of Colton reserves the right to evaluate the Kw reduction <br />potential of any lighting measure and to disapprove specific lighting <br />measures if not satisfied with KW reduction potential. <br />I. Rebates will only be provided for lighting measures which modify an <br />existing lighting system or for new central electric air conditioners or <br />new heat pumps which replace an existing central electric air conditioner <br />or existing heat pump. <br />J. No commercial customer may receive more than $3,000 in rebates under this <br />Policy in any one City Fiscal Year. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Gale A.
