R-51-92 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING A CERTAIN MII+IBERS' SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND <br />A CERTAIN JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CREATING <br />AN A6ENCY TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN BERNARDINO REGIONAL <br />AIRPORT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, California (the "City"), <br />is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the <br />Constitution and Laws of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is a member of the Inland Valley <br />Development Agency (the "Agency") which is a joint powers <br />authority formed by the legislative bodies of its members <br />pursuant to Section 6500, �t seQ., of the California Government <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency was formed for the purpose of <br />determining whether the redevelopment of Norton Air Force Base <br />("NAFB") and properties adjacent and in proximity thereto is <br />feasible for the purposes of preserving and creating employment <br />opportunities necessitated by the announced closure of NAFB; and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the formation of the Agency <br />and the undertaking of certain redevelopment actions, certain <br />legal actions were initiated by the City of Redlands; and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the initiation of the <br />aforementioned legal actions by the City of Redlands, the City of <br />/// <br />- � - <br />
