City of Colton <br />Senior Recreation Leader (continued) <br />Ability to• <br />Promote programs through a variety of resources. <br />Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. <br />Perform community outreach to obtain the maximum program <br />potential or participation. <br />Maintain effective working relationships with those contacted <br />in the course of work. <br />Experience and Training: Any combination of experience and <br />training that would likely provide the required knowledge and <br />abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience• <br />One year of increasingly responsible experience in a <br />recreation program, or closely related field, which provides <br />for supervision of other employees, budget and monthly report <br />preparation, and coordination of programs, scheduling, or any <br />combination thereof. <br />Training• <br />Equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree, supplemented by <br />specialized training in recreation or community programs; <br />office procedures, business administration, human resource <br />management, physical education, or a related field. <br />License or Certificate: <br />license. <br />Approved By Council: <br />J2:SRLWP <br />An appropriate, valid California driver's <br />
