(FILE INDEX NO. <br />DAP-001-680) <br />WHEREAS, on July 13, 2021, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton <br />("Planning Commission") conducted a duly noticed public hearing and recommended the City <br />Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") amending Title 18 (Zoning Code), Section <br />18.38.070 (Electric and Barbed Wire Fences) to allow the installation of an electric fence <br />around the perimeter of property and modify fence heights located in Industrial Park (I-P) Zone, <br />modify Sections related to Conditions of Installation, and Amend HUB City Centre Specific <br />Plan, Section 4 to allow the installation of electric fence around the perimeter and modify fence <br />heights of property located in the R (Retail), RMU (Retail Mixed Use), and BP (Business Park) <br />land use designations, subject to Conditional Use Permit. Section Following the conclusion of <br />said hearing on July 13, 2021, the Planning Commission adopted their Resolution No. R-20-21, <br />recommending approval to the City Council "Zoning Text Amendment"; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Zoning Text Amendment is <br />consistent with the City of Colton General Plan ("General Plan") as indicated below; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed Zoning Text Amendment <br />is in the best interests of the City, and that it would be in the public interest to approve the <br />23152.06020\32617662.1 <br />
