City Of Colton <br />Bylaws <br />Youth Board <br />SECTION I. PREAMBLE <br />The City Council of the City of Colton, California, having <br />passed a Resolution, thus establishing the Colton Youth Board has <br />deemed it necessary that we, the Youth Board members, shall <br />promulgate these following bylaws. We are pledged to represent, <br />delegate and encourage youth involvement in the community and to <br />act at all times under the statutes outlined in Resolution <br />No. In full understanding of our responsibilities as <br />representatives of youth and our community, we hereby, do ordain <br />and establish the following bylaws for the Colton Youth Board. <br />SECTION II. COMPOSITION OF BOARD <br />A. General Composition <br />The Colton Youth Board shall be composed in the following <br />manner: <br />Two members representing District One <br />Two members representing District Two <br />Two members representing District Three <br />Two members representing District Four <br />Two members representing District Five <br />Two members representing District Six <br />Two members chosen by the Mayor <br />Two members chosen by the principal of the Colton Unified <br />High School <br />One member chosen by the principal of Slover High <br />School <br />One member chosen by the principal of Washington High <br />School <br />B. Term of Service <br />Members of the Youth Board shall be appointed annually in <br />June and shall serve a term of one year. After serving <br />they must be reappointed by the City Council in order to <br />continue serving on the Youth Board. A member's term <br />shall end immediately if one of the vacancy conditions <br />occurs. <br />C. Vacancies <br />A vacancy of a seat on the Youth Board shall occur under <br />any of the following conditions: <br />1. A member no longer resides in Colton. <br />2. A member graduates from high school. <br />3. A member voluntarily vacates his or her seat. <br />
