R-51-95 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE <br />FORMATION AND ANNUAL LEVY OF THE CITYWIDE LANDSCAPE <br />MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 PURSUANT TO THE <br />LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972. <br />The City Council of the City of Colton, California does <br />resolve as follows: <br />WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Colton, confirms <br />the area known as the Citywide Landscape & Lighting District <br />is within the boundaries of the City of Colton; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton may be <br />authorized to provide for the levy and collection of annual <br />assessments by the County of San Bernardino under provisions <br />of the Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 (commencing <br />with section 22500) of Division 15 of the California Streets <br />and Highways Code (the Act); to pay for the improvements, <br />operation, maintenance and services for street trees, <br />parkways, median islands, perimeter landscaping, open space, <br />drainage area, entry wall, signage, concrete pathway, street <br />lights and all appurtenant facilities and operations related <br />thereto. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has retained Muni Financial <br />Services, Inc. (MFS), for the purpose of assisting with the <br />Formation of the Citywide Landscape Maintenance District <br />(District), the Annual Levy of the District, and to prepare <br />and file a report with the District Clerk in accordance with <br />the Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED <br />
