Toro (excused) <br /> <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS – Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br /> <br />• Presentation by Congressman Pete Aguilar on City-specific Funding Details from the American Rescue <br />Plan <br />Representative Pete Aguilar, 31st Congressional District of California; Representative Aguilar presented an <br />overview of the American Rescue Plan and its affect to the City of Colton; $10.3 million is the City of Colton <br />share; 100% pass through; Sate of California will receive said monies within 60 days and the state has 30 days <br />to pass through allocated funds to the City of Colton; ½ will be received soon and the balance in 12 months; <br />Representative Aguilar encouraged this information be shared with the citizens of Colton to inform them of the <br />share that is to be received by the city outlining new programs and ideas; and stressed the important to be <br />accountable to the public. <br /> <br />• Recognition of Vietnam War Veterans Day – March 29, Welcome Home; <br />Mayor Navarro read a Proclamation in Recognition of Vietnam War Veterans Day, March 29, 2021. <br />Proclamation will be forwarded to the Barstow Veterans Home; the only Veterans Home in San Bernardino <br />County. <br /> <br />*************************************************************************** <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />
