APPOINTMENTS • Appointment - Public Works & Utilities Director Brian Dickinson as Alternate Member to RIX JPA Mayor Navarro presented the name of Director Dickins as Alternate Member to RIX JPA. No opposition by Councilmembers present; so ratified. *************************************************************************** PUBLIC HEARINGS (1) Public Hearing - Weed Abatement TIME AND PLACE FIXED TO CONSIDER A PUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS THE CITY’S WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM. Mayor Navarro declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Padilla submitted the Notice of the Public Hearing (on file in the City Clerk’s Office) and there were no reports of protests or objections thereto. Staff Presentation Fire Marshall Ray Bruno, presented for Council an overview of the agenda item. Public Comment None Motion and Second by CM Suchil/CM González to close the public hearing. Vote: Motion carried with CM Toro absent. Motion and Second by CM González/CM Suchil to direct the Fire Chief or his designee to abate the stated nuisance by having the weeds, rubbish, refuse or dirt removed. Vote: Motion carried with CM Toro absent. BUSINESS ITEMS (2) Policy - Assembly Bill 992 - Approve and Adopt Resolution R-26-21 to Adopt A Transparency Laws & Social Media Policy in Accordance with Assembly Bill 992, RESOLUTION NO. R-26-21.
