R-72 -96 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING POLICY WITH <br />REGARD TO ALLOCATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEE <br />RECEIVED FROM COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO <br />PURSUANT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION OF <br />THE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER <br />WHEREAS, on June 18, 1996, the City Council directed that a resolution be prepared <br />restricting the use of certain funds to be received by the City of Colton from the County of San <br />Bernardino pursuant to the terms of that certain Memorandum of Understanding entered into by <br />the City of Colton and the County of San Bernardino effective July 5, 1995 (the "MOU"); and <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of the MOU, the County of San Bernardino has agreed <br />to pay the City of Colton $100,000 per year for a period of three years to cover certain <br />I administrative costs incurred by the City in connection with the MOU; and <br />WHEREAS, during the 1996-97 budgeting process, the entire $100,000 generated as an <br />administrative fee under the MOU was allocated to certain capital improvement projects outside <br />the immediate area which will be directly impacted by construction of the County Medical <br />Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the area immediately surrounding the County Medical Center will be most <br />directly affected by construction of that facility; and <br />64 <br />27 <br />WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the health, safety and general welfare of the residents <br />of the City of Colton that financial resources generated by construction of the County Medical <br />Center be allocated to projects in areas directly affected by construction of that facility. <br />281 1 <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves as follows: <br />
