R-72 -96 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING POLICY WITH REGARD TO ALLOCATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEE RECEIVED FROM COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO PURSUANT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER WHEREAS, on June 18, 1996, the City Council directed that a resolution be prepared restricting the use of certain funds to be received by the City of Colton from the County of San Bernardino pursuant to the terms of that certain Memorandum of Understanding entered into by the City of Colton and the County of San Bernardino effective July 5, 1995 (the "MOU"); and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the MOU, the County of San Bernardino has agreed to pay the City of Colton $100,000 per year for a period of three years to cover certain I administrative costs incurred by the City in connection with the MOU; and WHEREAS, during the 1996-97 budgeting process, the entire $100,000 generated as an administrative fee under the MOU was allocated to certain capital improvement projects outside the immediate area which will be directly impacted by construction of the County Medical Center; and WHEREAS, the area immediately surrounding the County Medical Center will be most directly affected by construction of that facility; and 64 27 WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the City of Colton that financial resources generated by construction of the County Medical Center be allocated to projects in areas directly affected by construction of that facility. 281 1 NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves as follows:
