EXHIBIT "A" A portion of Lot 2 of Subdivision of the Lands of the Colton Land and Water Company, in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 1, page(s) 40, of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows. Beginning at a point in the North line, distant 796.00 feet Easterly, measured along said North line, from the Northwest corner, said point of beginning being the Northeast corner of the tract of land conveyed to German American Savin;s Bank to Wade Purdum by deed recorded in Book 380, page 20, of Deeds; thence Southerly, along the East line of said tract of land conveyed to Fade Purdum, 1,252.00 feet, more or less, to the South line; thence Easterly along said South line, 17.00 feet to a point; thence Northerly, parallel to the East tine of said land conveyed to trade Purdum, 1,252.00 feet, more or less, to a point in the North line; thence Westerly, along said North line, 17.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Except all oil, gas, petroleum and other mineral or hydrocarbon substances in and under said land, together with the right to use that portion only of said land which underlies a plane parallel to and 100.00 feet below the present surface of said land for the purpose of prospecting for, developing and/or extracting said oil, gas, petroleum and other mineral or hydrocarbon substances from said land by means of wells drilled into said subsurface of said land from drill sites located on other land, it being expressly understood and agreed that Edison Securities Company, its successors and assigns shall have no right to enter upon the surface of said land or to use said land or any portion thereof to said depth of 100.00 feet for any purpose whatsoever, as reserved in the deed recorded March 7, 1952 in Book 2910, page 254, Official Records. Also except that portion conveyed in the deeds recorded March 17, 1960 in Book 5055, page 32 and .tune 6, 1963 in Book 5923, page 948, Official Records.
