C. UNIFORM MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE: The City agrees to increase <br />the uniform maintenance allowance from $52.50 to $70.00 per <br />month effective July, 1999. <br />D. "48/96" WORK SCHEDULE: The City and the Association agree to <br />postpone discussion on the "48/96 Work Schedule" to be <br />continued prior to January 1999. <br />II. EFFECT OF MOU: It is agreed that the specific provisions <br />contained in this MOU shall prevail over City policies and <br />procedures and over state laws to the extent permitted by state <br />law. <br />III. SAVINGS CLAUSE: Should any provision of this agreement be held <br />invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the remaining <br />provisions shall remain in full force and effect. <br />IV. COUNCIL ACTION: If this agreement is acceptable to the City <br />Council, then the City Council shall adopt the agreement by <br />appropriate action at the first scheduled meeting following the <br />signing of this agreement. <br />V. MAINTENANCE OF BENEFITS: All other terms and conditions of <br />employment in existence immediately prior to the effective date <br />of this MOU and not altered by this MOU, shall remain the same, <br />unchanged, and in full force and effect unless altered by the <br />mutual agreement of the City and the Union.. <br />VI. WAIVER CLAUSE: Except as stated in other portions of this MOU <br />the City and the Union, for the life of this MOU, each agrees <br />that the other shall not be obligated to meet and confer with <br />respect to any subject or matter referred to or covered in this <br />10/13/98 <br />Exhibits 98 Fire - Police R&F - Elec <br />
