R-45-00 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ENTERING <br />INTO AN ASSET TRANSFER AGREEMENT BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF <br />COLTON FOR THAT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 655-661 <br />N. LA CADENA DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, California (the "City") is a municipal <br />corporation and a general law city duly created and existing pursuant to the <br />Constitution and the laws of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS,, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton (the <br />"Agency"'), is a redevelopment agency, a public body, corporate and politic of the <br />State of California, organized and existing pursuant to the Community Redevelopment <br />Law (Part I of Division 24) commencing with Section 33000 of the Health and Safety <br />Code of the State of California (the "Act"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency acquired that real property commonly referred to as <br />the Civic Center Annex located at 655-661 N. La Cadena Drive (the "Property") on <br />March 3 1 � 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase the Property from the Agency for <br />use by the City as a public facility and the Agency desires to sell the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and Agency have negotiated the price, terms and <br />conditions of the sale of the Property that are mutually agreeable to both parties and <br />are contained in the Asset Transfer Agreement (the "Transfer Agreement") attached to <br />the Resolution as Exhibit "A" and which is incorporated herein by this reference. <br />I <br />
