R-59-00 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE AGUA MANSA <br />INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN: FILE NO. DSP -70-99 <br />WHEREAS, Copart Salvage Auto Auctions filed an application on December 14, <br />1999, File No. DSP -70-99, for amending the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan ("Specific <br />Plan") to change the land use designation from Industrial Park to Heavy Industrial for approximately <br />8.8 vacant acres, approve an Environmental Assessment and the Architectural and Site Plan Review <br />to Expand an Auto Salvage Storage and Auction Facility ("Application"), affecting approximately 8.8 <br />acres of land located at the southwest corner of La Cadena Drive and Rancho Avenue and currently <br />and vacant ("Subject Site"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Application was referred to all affected public agencies pursuant to <br />section 65352 of the Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Application was reviewed, studied, and found to be consistent with <br />the City's adopted General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Application was reviewed, studied, and found to comply with the <br />California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") as more fully described below; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 9, 2000 and June 13, 2000, the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Colton ("Planning Commission") conducted duly noticed public hearings on the Application at which <br />time all persons wishing to testify in connection with the Application were heard and the Application <br />was comprehensively reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 1, 2000, the City Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") <br />conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application at which time all persons wishing to testify <br />in connection with the Application were heard and the Application was fully studied; and <br />WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have <br />occurred . <br />RVPUB\MXM\534103 <br />1 <br />
