Employees who wish to exercise their option to sell back holiday hours on June 30 must process <br />a written request to Finance no later than June 15 of that fiscal year. <br />V. NON ("FAVORED NATIONS" LANGUAGE: The City and Association agree to insert the <br />following language in the MOU; <br />The City agrees that during the term of this Memorandum of Understanding it will not <br />enter into any agreement, whether written or otherwise, with any other bargaining unit or <br />employee group in the City that obligates the City to provide any monetary or non - <br />monetary benefit based upon any provision in this MOU or any benefit, salary or <br />otherwise, received by members of this Association. The intent of this provision is to <br />eliminate any ties between the salary and/or benefits received by members of this <br />bargaining group and those received by members of any other bargaining group in the <br />city. <br />Vi. BUY BACK PROGRAM: The City and Association agree to implement the annual "Police <br />Management Buy Back" program, effective July 200 1, as stated below: <br />Each represented employee shall be allowed to buy back up to 96 hours of sick leave per <br />year. The requirements for the buy back are as follows: <br />A. Employee must have a minimum of 1,000 hours to participate in the program; and <br />B. A minimum of 15 years service; and <br />C. Employee can only buy back the amount of unused hours accumulated in any one <br />calendar year; and <br />D. The employee shall be compensated at their current salary at the time of request; and <br />E. This item shall be considered on a calendar year basis. <br />Vii. DETECTIVE/CORPORAL INCENTIVE: The City agrees to increasing the <br />Detective/Corporal incentive from 6.38% to 10%, effective July 2001. <br />Vill. MAINTENANCE OF TERMS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All benefits enjoyed <br />by bargaining unit members on the effective date of this MOU, and which have not specifically <br />been amended by this MOU, shall remain in effect. If a court determines the City is required to <br />change a benefit during the term of this MOU, the City shall meet and confer with the <br />Association regarding the implementation of an alternative benefit of equal or similar value. <br />12/18/00 <br />00740.DOC <br />
