F,XMRIT A CITY OF COLTON MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY AND BETWEEN THE COLTON POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF COLTON This document contains a summary of the modifications to the wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment of Colton Police Management Association (the Association) members which have been negotiated pursuant to Government Code Section 3500, et sem. which is generally referred to as the Meyers-:Milleras-Brown Act. These modifications shall be incorporated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) upon the approval of the City Council of the City of Colton and ratification by the Association and will be placed into effect upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances and resolutions by the City Council, if acceptable to them, in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. I. TERM OF AGREEMENT: The agreement will last for a three year period beginning July 15 2000 and ending midnight June 30, 2003. II. SALARY: The City will provide to all unit employees a base salary increase 6% effective the 1st payroll period after July 1, 2001. In addition, the City will provide 7% salary increase effective the first payroll period after July 1, 2002 to all employees in this bargaining unit. III. PERS RETIREMENT PROGRAM: The City agrees to implementing and paying for the full cost of the 3% at 50 PERS retirement program effective as soon as possible after this agreement is signed. IV. HOLIDAY LEAVE: The Association agrees to modifying Article IV, Section 2 of the MOU as follows: In lieu of the existing holiday accrual language in this Section, effective every July all employees covered by the MOU shall accrue ten hours of holiday leave each month during the pay period which includes their anniversary date.
