F,XMRIT A <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE COLTON POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br />AND <br />THE CITY OF COLTON <br />This document contains a summary of the modifications to the wages, hours and other terms and <br />conditions of employment of Colton Police Management Association (the Association) members which <br />have been negotiated pursuant to Government Code Section 3500, et sem. which is generally referred to <br />as the Meyers-:Milleras-Brown Act. These modifications shall be incorporated in a Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU) upon the approval of the City Council of the City of Colton and ratification by the <br />Association and will be placed into effect upon the adoption of the necessary ordinances and resolutions <br />by the City Council, if acceptable to them, in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set <br />forth. <br />I. TERM OF AGREEMENT: The agreement will last for a three year period beginning July <br />15 2000 and ending midnight June 30, 2003. <br />II. SALARY: The City will provide to all unit employees a base salary increase 6% effective <br />the 1st payroll period after July 1, 2001. In addition, the City will provide 7% salary increase <br />effective the first payroll period after July 1, 2002 to all employees in this bargaining unit. <br />III. PERS RETIREMENT PROGRAM: The City agrees to implementing and paying for the <br />full cost of the 3% at 50 PERS retirement program effective as soon as possible after this <br />agreement is signed. <br />IV. HOLIDAY LEAVE: The Association agrees to modifying Article IV, Section 2 of the <br />MOU as follows: <br />In lieu of the existing holiday accrual language in this Section, effective every July all employees <br />covered by the MOU shall accrue ten hours of holiday leave each month during the pay period <br />which includes their anniversary date.
