1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2000, the City Council adopted an ordinance establishing � <br />a comprehensive administrative code enforcement program, now codified as Chapter 8.12 of the � <br />Colton Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 8.12.040A of the Colton Municipal Code it is I <br />necessary to establish, by resolution, fine and penalty amounts for administrative citations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is to adopt, by resolution, new service charges and increase I <br />existing service charges for actual administrative costs incurred by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is authorized, by California Government Code sections 38773 1 <br />.5 39577 and Vehicle Code section 22660, to collect the direct and administrative costs of I <br />abating nuisances, including weeds, rubbish and abandoned automobiles, by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2000, the City Council adopted an ordinance establishing I <br />a comprehensive nuisance abatement program, now codified as Chapters 8.04, 8.06, and 8.08 of the � <br />Colton Municipal Code. <br />BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />As set forth in Chapter 8.12 of the Colton Municipal Code, that following a � <br />� reasonable warning period, the penalty for issuance of a first administrative citation shall be one � <br />� hundred dollars ($100). The penalty for a second administrative citation issued within a twelve <br />� month period for the same violation shall be two hundred dollars ($200). The penalty for a third and <br />each subsequent administrative citation for the same violation issued within a twelve month period <br />shall be five hundred dollars ($500). <br />2. Fines not paid prior to their due date shall be subject to an additional twenty- <br />five dollar ($25) penalty fee every day of delinquency. <br />-2- <br />
