Subject to the provisions of Section 7 of this Resolution, the City <br />Engineer in consultation with the Agency is hereby authorized and directed to cause public <br />works improvement plans and specification to be prepared and completed at the earliest <br />feasible time for the Intersection Signal Projects in sufficient detail to satisfy the requirements <br />of the Public Contract Code and other applicable law relating to the solicitation of bids to <br />install and construct the Intersection Signal Projects. Upon completion of such improvement <br />plans and specifications the Agency shall request the City Council to authorize the publication <br />of notice inviting bids and to award one or more public works contracts to install and <br />construct the Intersection Signal Projects. The costs associated with the work of improvement <br />of each Intersection Signal Project, including the preparation of final construction plans and <br />specifications, shall be payable by the Agency from the Santa Ana River Bond Account. The <br />City Engineer in consultation with the Agency Executive Director is hereby authorized and <br />directed to establish and maintain appropriate financial accounting records for all costs and <br />expenses incurred by the City and the Agency in connection with the installation and <br />construction of the Intersection Signal Projects. <br />COLT/0001/DOC/355 <br />11/16/00 930 jmm <br />R <br />
