R-84-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING THE CITY OF COLTON HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE AND ADOPTING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION: FILE INDEX NUMBER DG-41-00 WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has coordinated the preparation of and update to the City of Colton Housing Element ("Housing Element Update") and an Environmental Assessment/Negative DeGaration to evaluate and address impacts that may be generated by the update; and WHEREAS, a Draft of the Housing E(ement Update was sent to the California Department of Housing and Community Development ("HCD") for review in accordance with State law and HCD has indicated an intent to certify the Housing Element Update upon inclusion of certain amendments; and WHEREAS, the amendments suggested by HCD have been incorporated into the Updated Housing Element; and WHEREAS, on June 25, 2002, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton considered and recommended approval of the Housing Element Update, the amendments and accompanying Environmental Assessment/Negative Declaration ( File Index NumberDG41-00); and WHEREAS, public hearings, as required by law, were held on the proposed Housing Element Update, the amendments and Environmental AssessmenUNegative Decl�ation by the Planning Commission on November 14, 2000 and June 25, 2002; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hea�ing on September 3, 2002 at which time the Housing Element Update, the amendments and accompanying Environmental Assessment /Negative Declaration were considered and approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON:
