1 Exceptions: <br /> 2 1. Exception 1 deleted. <br /> 3 2. When approved by the fire code official, detached Group U private garages <br /> 4 accessory to a Group R-3 occupancy, when located 50 feet or more from property lines or <br /> dwellings. <br /> 5 <br /> 3. Group R-3.1 occupancies not housing bedridden clients, not housing non-ambulatory <br /> 6 clients above the first floor, and not housing clients above the second floor. <br /> 7 4. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 13113, occupancies housing ambulatory <br /> 8 children only, none of whom are mentally ill or mentally handicapped, and the buildings <br /> 9 or portions thereof in which such children are housed are not more than two stories in <br /> height, and buildings or portion thereof housing such children have an automatic fire <br /> ,10 alarm system activated by approved smoke detectors. <br /> 11 5. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 13143.6, occupancies licensed for <br /> 12 protective social care which house ambulatory clients only, none of whom is a child <br /> (under the age of 18 years), or who is elderly (65years of age or over). <br /> 13 <br /> 14 <br /> 15 15.06.180 Section 903.3.1.3 amended. <br /> 16 Section 903.3.1.3 of the California Fire Code is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 17 <br /> 903.3.1.3 NFPA 13D sprinkler systems. Automatic sprinkler systems installed in <br /> 18 one and two-family dwellings shall be installed throughout in accordance with <br /> 19 NFPA 13D, including attached garages. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 15.06.185 Section 903.3.5.3 added. <br /> 22 Section 903.3.5.3 hydraulically calculated systems are hereby added as follows: <br /> 23 903.3.5.3 Hydraulically calculated systems. The design of hydraulically <br /> 24 calculated fire sprinkler systems shall not exceed 90% of the water supply <br /> capacity <br /> 25 <br /> Exception: When static pressure exceeds 100 psi, and required by the Fire Code <br /> 26 Official,the fire sprinkler system shall not exceed water supply capacity specified <br /> 27 by Table 903.3.5.3 <br /> 28 <br />
