WHEREAS, maintaining and preserving the local street and road system in good <br /> condition will reduce drive times and traffic congestion, improve bicycle safety, and <br /> 2 make the pedestrian experience safer and more appealing, which leads to reduce <br /> 3 vehicle emissions helping the State achieve its air quality and greenhouse gas <br /> emissions reductions goals; and, <br /> 4 <br /> WHEREAS, the SB 1 project list and overall investment in our local streets and <br /> 5 roads infrastructure with a focus on basic maintenance and safety, investing in <br /> 6 complete streets infrastructure, and using cutting-edge technology, materials and <br /> practices, will have significant positive co-benefits statewide. <br /> 7 <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br /> 8 HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 9 Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br /> 10 incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br /> 11 Section 2 The City Council authorizes the adoption of the following List of Streets for <br /> Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Pavement Rehabilitation Project to be funded by Road Maintenance <br /> 12 and Rehabilitation Account (SB-1) revenues include: <br /> 13 Project 1: SB-1 Funded FY 23/24 Street Rehabilitation Project: <br /> 14 a. Meridian Ave. (350' North of Valley Blvd. to San Bernardino Ave.) - <br /> 15 $287,080 — asphalt grind and overlay, striping, traffic loops; estimated useful life <br /> - 10 to 15 years); estimated start of design by Sept. 1, 2023 and project <br /> 16 construction completion by June 2024. <br /> 17 b. Rancho Ave. (Agua Mansa Rd. to Cement Plant Rd.) - $171,192 — asphalt <br /> grind and overlay, striping, traffic loops; estimated useful life - 10 to 15 years); <br /> 18 estimated start of design by Sept. 1, 2023 and project construction completion by <br /> June 2024 <br /> 19 <br /> c. Pepper Ave. (UPRR Bridge. to Slover Ave.) - $112,750 — asphalt grind and <br /> 20 overlay, striping; estimated useful life - 10 to 15 years); estimated start of design <br /> by Sept. 1, 2023 and project construction completion by June 2024. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 d. Citrus Ave. (Rancho Ave. to Watwood Ave.) — $202,476 - asphalt grind and <br /> overlay, striping, traffic loops; estimated useful life - 10 to 15 years); estimated <br /> 23 start of design by Sept. 1, 2023 and project construction completion by June 2024. <br /> 24 e. Pleasant Valley Ct. (Hidden Valley Ln. to West End) — $17,119 — asphalt grind <br /> and overlay, striping; estimated useful life - 10 to 15 years); estimated start of <br /> 25 design by Sept. 1, 2023 and project construction completion by June 2024. <br /> 26 f.
